TerraCottem® can be used alone or to complement other methods, materials and techniques.

TerraCottem® Application Rates - Lawns, Ornamental Beds, Raised Beds, Gardens & Roof Gardens

Rates (Metric)

100 grams per m2 area, or 500 grams per m3 growing media mixed off-site.

Rates (Imperial)

3 ounces per yd2 area, or 20.5 pounds (avoirdupois) per 1,000 square feet, or 13.5 ounces per yd3 growing media mixed off-site.

TerraCottem® Application Method - Lawns, Ornamental Beds, Raised Beds, Gardens & Roof Gardens

  1. TerraCottem Lawn Step 1Apply TerraCottem® to surface area at recommended rate with a fertilizer spreader or mix off-site with growing media and apply this mixture to surface.
  2. TerraCottem Lawn Step 2For smaller areas (e.g. a couple of dozen square meters/yards) and slopes apply TerraCottem® manually at recommended rate.
  3. TerraCottem Lawn Step 3Mix into the rootzone to a depth of 20 cm/8 inches with a rotovator, rotoray hoe or rototiller, across the length and width of the area.
  4. TerraCottem Lawn Step 4For slopes, use a hoe to incorporate the product into the soil at a depth of 20 cm/8 inches.
  5. TerraCottem Lawn Step 5Firm soil.
  6. TerraCottem Lawn Step 6Prepare soil for seeding.
  7. TerraCottem Lawn Step 7Seed, sod, sprig.
  8. TerraCottem Lawn Step 8Or plant shrubs and flower beds.
  9. TerraCottem Lawn Step 9Water thoroughly.
