TerraCottem® can be used alone or to complement other methods, materials and techniques.

The rates and methods are general guidelines and may vary according to the climate, type of soil, quality of water, etc., and recommendations of the project manager, architect or consultant. We highly recommend that you contact your distributor for accurate rates.

TerraCottem® Application Rates - Tree & Shrub Planting

Rates (Metric)

1.5 kg per m3 growing media or soil taken from plant hole, or 1.5 grams per litre soil.

Rates (Imperial)

2.5 lbs per yd3 growing media or soil taken from plant hole, or 0.2 ounce (= 1 teaspoon) per gallon soil.

TerraCottem® Application Method - Tree & Shrub Planting

1. Dig plant hole 2 x the size of root ball in the shape of a cube. Keep small amount of soil from the hole apart from the rest.

2. Add TerraCottem (=TC) to most of soil taken from the hole and mix well.

3. Fill partially with TC soil mixture.

4. Place plant in hole and fill with rest of TC mixture. Top of root ball must be 5cm/2 inches below surface.

5. Cover with normal soil set apart earlier, as a mulch layer, creating a concave shape to trap available water.

6. Water thoroughly.
